1. Web Developer Opportunity in Indianapolis

    Role Title: Web Developer

    Role Requirements:

    • The Web Developer is responsible for the design, development and support of new and existing web-based systems and applications for our internal and external customers
    • The work will include design and implementation of web applications and services, in support of company goals
    • The Web Developer will be responsible for the agile development of modular software components and integration of internally created and commercial systems
    • The Web Developer will also lead website quality assurance and testing prior to launch
    • Will be working on overhauling and rebuilding sites that are used for the various programs they offer (score reporting, sites for teachers, etc)
    • Broad experience better then narrow

    Required Skills:

    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    • 2-4 years of web programming experience
    • Proficient in Drupal (6 and 7), including custom module development, custom theme development, key contributed modules and the core API, CCK, Views
    • Proficient in PHP, ideally within an Ubuntu, Apache, MySQL environment
    • Proficient in JavaScript and familiar with AJAX and JQuery
    • Proficient in the maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites
    • Programming experience with Windows Server, MSSQL, ColdFusion, and .NET is a plus
    • The ability to work within existing infrastructures
    • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
    • A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently
    • Ability to work as part of a team, understanding problems from another team member’s perspective, and, when necessary, go above and beyond the job description to work towards a broader team goal
    • Independence, willingness to learn and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, deadlines and new challenges
    • Ability to communicate and work well with others
    • Ability to deliver on time

    Desired Skills:

    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    • Telecommute available
    • REALLY prefer to have Drupal, but as long as strong PHP, will consider
    • Ideally within an Ubuntu, Apache, MySQL environment
    • Learning Management environment a BIG PLUS
